Android Software Developer

At BAE Systems Defence Information we develop world-class cutting-edge solutions for our customers, and we need skilled, enthusiastic, and motivated people to work with us and help retain our market leading reputation and to deliver on our commitments.

This Android Software Developer role will offer you the opportunity to be part of a recently established project team based out of our Christchurch site, while providing customer support across the country. Using an agile approach, working closely with our customers and designers, you will develop Apps for Android mobile devices and military, supporting user trials and engagement sessions.

This role will provide you with an excellent first step into the business where we offer exciting career paths and opportunities for those with a passion and natural interest for technology. If you are interested in putting your software skills to the test, then we want to hear from you.

Your Skills And Qualifications

Familiarisation of mobile devices, networking appliances and supporting infrastructures.

End-to-end development using Kotlin or Java.

Experience with Python, JavaScript, CSS.

Good academic background in relevant subject, such as a Software Engineering or Systems Engineering qualification.

Additional Desirable Skills And Experience -

Installation or support experience within customers operational environments.

Innovators and inventors.

Good verbal and interpersonal skills.

Good technical writing ability.

We’re looking for an individual who can work and contribute to the team with good problem-solving ability and the drive to help deliver and progress through out BAE Systems.

Location: Christchurch

Salary: Up to £50,000
