Senior Software Engineer - Greater Manchester (Remote) - £60,000 - £80,000 + Benefits

An experienced Senior backend Java Developer is needed to join a global Saas Business based in Greater Manchester. You will be joining a thriving industry and a company that operates at a global level, working with some of the biggest providers worldwide.

This company has gone from strength to strength and has been thriving for the past 30 years, having a remarkable reputation on the market while expanding and building their offices and teams across the globe.

Being a large software house, they have been running for 20+ years and have a large product suite to get stuck into, so good engineers with a polyglot aptitude will fit in well to their team.

As a Senior Software Engineer in this company, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of global projects, releases and projects within your speciality.

The salary for this role is £60,000-80,000 plus an excellent benefits package and fully-remote working (no travel required).

Role responsibilities and requirements:

• Work closely with the development team on major software releases
• Work in an agile development enviornment with daily stand-up meetings
• Troubleshoot test system issues when necessary
• Deliver quality software on-time
• Develop necessary user documentation in support of developed features
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience working in backend/server-side development with NodeJs, Java or TypeScript
• Strong development experience with Object Oriented Programming
• Familiarity with relational databases + SQL and ORM concept (AWS RDS/Aurora, MySQL, MSSql, Postgres)
• Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS or Azure
• Competent scripting experience in a Linux/unix environment
