ole Purpose
JLLT Advisory is seeking a Research Lead Analyst for JLLT Technologies who will spearhead and own research and analysis for a set of industry domains or technology categories that underpins our thought leadership, fuels our asset-based consulting, and develops our overall market eminence. As JLLT Advisory increases its footprint, this team will be focused on building deep market and technology intelligence that will develop our client’s ‘Future of Work’ and inform their understanding of market dynamics of the evolving real estate.
The Research Lead Analyst in this role will successfully enable:
- JLLT Advisory leadership to establish a focused sub-function to undertake studies and analysis and develop a roadmap of research activities which are globally consistent and regionally/locally aligned.
- The application of research methodologies to efficiently combine research and business analysis/insights into discrete assets as part of a wider Advisory asset library.
- The identification of topics for study and analysis which are thought provoking, focused on client challenges/priorities, and actionable thus driving our activities to increase awareness and credibility.
- A heavily utilised asset library of research assets which power case delivery and go-to-market activities by JLLT Commercial and Marketing teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish and refine a research methodology and supporting framework which will underpin the development of assets and intellectual property for assigned domains/categories.
- Collaborate with JLLT Advisory leadership and own the research plan.
- Own the entire research process from ideation, creation, publication, dissemination, and evaluation.
- Lead and conduct studies with fellow Analysts focused on key research themes by engaging internal and external stakeholders and leveraging the client insights.
- Maintain intimate and extensive knowledge of the macro and micro factors affecting the marketplace and proactively position research to leverage this knowledge for the business and for clients.
- Establish JLL as the clear thought leader for understanding technology trends in commercial real estate, with additional macros lens of economics and demographic drivers.
- Leverage current knowledge of the Real Estate industry and PropTech and develop a specialism in several focused domains.
- Actively participate and contribute to industry/customer events and develop an external followership which drives our overall market awareness and credibility.
- Author, curate, and publish research assets to create followship and market eminence via publications, whitepapers, blogs, podcasts, micro-blogs.
- Lead engagement in groups/communities within JLL focused in area(s)/domain(s) of specialism to understand the latest market and client trends, challenges, and innovations.
This individual will:
Lead, drive, & deliver research & insights studies to build assets that differentiates JLLT against generic researchers & technology consultants.
- Bring 10+ years of work experience as research analyst (or similar) aligned to real estate, PropTech, Internet-of-Things (IoT), or Data Analytics.
- Possess expert-level domain knowledge aligned to real estate, PropTech, IoT, market trends, and client (occupier/investor) dynamics.
- Exceptional analytical skills, an eye of detail, leading in a matrix organisational model, and an ability to manage multiple priorities/cases/studies.
- Lead fellow researchers, analysts, consultants, and other SMEs to identify, research, and establish unique perspectives on market dynamics of evolving real estate.
- Employ proactive and strategic thinking and have the ability to lead research initiatives, align research with the business, and innovate research output.
- Autonomously leverage experience to efficiently, scope and conduct research and develop assets (reports, whitepapers, blogs, etc.) to a high standard.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external clients and facilitate the use of research as a differentiator.
- Expertly plan and deliver insightful content to clients, industry conferences/forums, and through various media channels.
- Have a passion for storytelling, a curiosity to master understanding, and an uncanny ability to articulate complexities into understandable assets.
- Inspire and mentor fellow analysts in all aspect of research, i.e., methodology, domain expertise, delivery, etc.
- Identify and leverage appropriate tools (technical, visual, etc.) to augment studies to drive asset creation. Architect and design proprietary tools/calculators which augment research activities.

Estimated compensation for this position is:
120-200k USD
