    The IT Security Engineer is responsible for planning, testing, implementing, and maintaining security tools and solutions across a variety of on-premise and cloud environments. This individual will collaborate on multiple security-related projects, working with team members within the IT organization as well as with other internal business units.


    Job Duties


    • Test, install, document, and maintain a variety of security tools and solutions
    • Collaborate with IT and other internal teams on implementing security best practices
    • Perform and coordinate vulnerability testing for a variety of systems
    • Identify threats and develop remediation plans to reduce security risks to the company
    • Provide technical expertise and coordination during IT security incident responses
    • Act as the point of escalation for security alerts from our internal SOC
    • Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities and reduce threats
    • Assist in periodic information security risk assessments to ensure that information systems are adequately protected and meet security objectives
    • Perform and coordinate activities related to the company’s security awareness training program
    • Work with the IT compliance team and external auditors to provide supporting evidence for security controls
    • Stay up to date on security trends, threat intelligence, and changes in security policies, technologies, and regulations


    Education/Work Experience/Certifications


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 3 years of hands-on technical information security experience
    • CISSP certification preferred


    Qualifications


    • Knowledge of and experience with multiple security tools, technologies, and frameworks
    • Hands-on experience implementing security technologies and tools across a broad range of technologies and platforms, including Windows, MacOS, Linux, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and VMware
    • Experience with performing vulnerability testing, interpreting results, and coordinating remediation of findings
    • Understanding of secure software development lifecycle best practices is a plus
    • Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties
