Job Description:

As a .Net Full Stack Developer in Benchmarking and Indices Division in Data & Analytics, the individual will be responsible for developing and supporting delivery of varied engineering and automation initiatives that address key Index Operational Risk concerns.

Role requires great experience working in market data driven projects involving web applications that use modern technologies.

This role reports to Index Technology Manager.

Role Responsibilities

  • Contributes to development through high-quality software design and architecture
  • Designs, develops, and delivers software solutions that align with architecture, operational and risk processes
  • Identifies, prioritises, and executes tasks in the software development life cycle (Agile)
  • Develops tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
  • Works closely with Index Management and Index Review business to deliver products, services, enhancements, and solutions to meet customer needs and align with the goals of the business line
  • Automates tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
  • Ensures high quality product through the validation and verification testing of functional and non-functional requirements
  • Collaborates with internal teams (including Product Owners/Business and Client Analysis) and vendors to fix and improve products
  • Communicates with clarity, precision, and influence, presenting complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate
  • Provides expert technical leadership as required
  • Quickly turnaround to business needs by coming up with POCs

Miniumum Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with extensive experience in data driven projects
  • Thorough experience of object-oriented programming language - C#.net and SQL is essential
  • Good experience of development in micro services architecture, and web app development
  • Experience in UI in Angular/JavaScript
  • Good experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Ansible/Jenkins/Git
  • Significant experience in software development methodologies and Agile based delivery
  • Extensive experience in CI\CD tools & automation required
  • Some experience of Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, Delivery Management, and/or Emerging Technology and Governance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Quick at understanding problems with existing UIs, re-engineer and come up with quick POCs

  • Financial markets experience
