Job Description

The Senior Staff Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the planning, designing, configuration, testing, and maintenance of this specialty mechanical services' critical corporate IT infrastructure. They will be a key member of the IT Infrastructure Services team. This position will provide thought leadership to shape technical architecture. This individual will develop and drive our technical roadmap for a broad technical landscape (e.g. Azure, Enterprise Network). This position is able to them implement those solutions either directly or by providing leadership and oversight to others (internal and external resources)

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, automate, and monitor various Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, AAD, Automation, Monitor, etc.)
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art technical solutions on Azure
  • Provide technical assistance for escalations, create runbooks, provide training and guidance to the Operations team on Azure, Windows Server, O365, Active Directory
  • Work on projects designed to implement solutions to simplify the corporate IT infrastructure, such as the migration of existing on premise servers and SQL databases to Azure
  • Work with other internal teams to ensure critical infrastructure projects progress as per plan
  • Assist other business partners and application owners to ensure their application is highly available
  • Install, configure and be the SME on various infrastructure SaaS platforms
  • Learn new technologies and stay up-to-date up to date on solutions for IT infrastructure
  • Windows AD domain administrator
  • Providing leadership to 3rd parties to implement IT project work
  • Technical SME on SSO and Identity technologies and products
  • Communicate (written/verbal) with department manager, management, key users, and external vendors
  • Build and maintain key relationships with other IT teams, internal departments such as Infosec, Compliance, and other external partners
  • Troubleshoot issues to find root cause, and participate in corrective action/preventive action measures to remediate issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support as required to the Operations team

Qualifications And Experience

  • 5+ years of overall experience with Enterprise Network design and delivery, Windows Server or managing multiple Active Directory domains
  • General knowledge of cloud computing (Azure preferred)
  • Experience administering/supporting Windows and Linux systems running in a cloud environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure virtual network appliances
  • Experience in on premise data center to cloud migrations
  • Experience with PowerShell, scripting and automation
  • Thorough understanding of IPV4 and routing
  • Working knowledge of VPN connectivity and client trouble shooting
  • Experience with identity and access management (I&AM), such as Active Directory, NTFS permissions, LDAP, and Single Sign On (SSO) solutions
  • Experience with email systems and products, O365, Exchange, IronPort
