About the job

Who we are:

For over 20 years, Global Relay has set the standard in enterprise information archiving with industry-leading cloud archiving, surveillance, eDiscovery, and analytics solutions. We securely capture and preserve the communications data of the world’s most highly regulated firms, giving them greater visibility and control over their information and ensuring compliance with stringent regulations.

Though we offer competitive compensation and benefits and all the other perks one would expect from an established company, we are not your typical technology company. Global Relay is a career-building company. A place for big ideas. New challenges. Groundbreaking innovation. It’s a place where you can genuinely make an impact – and be recognized for it.

We believe great businesses thrive on diversity, inclusion, and the contributions of all employees. To that end, we recruit candidates from different backgrounds and foster a work environment that encourages employees to collaborate and learn from each other, completely free of barriers.

We encourage you to apply if your qualifications and experience are a good fit for any of our openings.

Your Role:

Reporting to the Chief Design Officer, you will be responsible for UX designs and strategy to support the Marketing team initiatives. This includes the redesign of Global Relay's corporate website, creation of new landing pages, improvements to existing workflows based on usage data and design strategy for new digital projects to promote Global Relay's brand.

We are looking for a UX Designer who has a strategic mindset and champions our users in all phases of the project cycle, following user-centric design practices when designing for the web, product, brand and other digital experiences. You will conduct research to understand our customer's and prospects' needs, work with the business teams to understand their objectives and collaborate with other designers and developers to deliver the final solution. In this role, you will provide empathy maps and personas, journey maps, sitemaps, wireframes and more.

Your Job:

  • Advocate for user-centric design decisions keeping our customers front of mind
  • Act as a champion of accessibility following the WCAG guidelines
  • Lead workshops and discovery sessions to uncover problems, define scope and shape requirements
  • Proactively apply research techniques that are appropriate to the problem being addressed
  • Concept, prototype, validate, fine-tune and present design solutions
  • Create sketches, flows, wireframes and other design artifacts
  • Communicate design solutions to business teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with UI Designers and brand specialists to deliver pixel-perfect mockups according to UX specs
  • Collaborate with developers to articulate functional requirements, implement and QA design solutions
  • Collaborate with key Marketing team members as needed, such as an SEO Specialist
  • Help identify and leverage metrics to drive project management and measure success
  • Guide and coach other designers and non-designers to uplift their design thinking capabilities

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience doing User Experience design for web
  • A portfolio showing your UX process and how it resulted in solutions that people love
  • Experience on projects of various sizes and selecting the right methodology for the job at hand
  • Knowledge of common web CMS, like WordPress, and their limitations
  • High proficiency with Figma and Miro is an asset
  • Familiar with common user testing and research tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and keep organized in a dynamic environment
  • Empathy, intellectual curiosity and openness to learning about compliance in finance
