Overview
The Zimbabwe Student Surgical Network is a national medical student and trainee run group in Zimbabwe established by founding members at the National University of Science and Technology. It is the national body that co-ordinates student surgical societies with students and interns from the 3 national medical schools (National University of Science and Technology, University of Zimbabwe and Midlands State University). We provide and support our members in the various roles they choose to play in realising adequate surgical care in Universal Health Coverage. Our members are motivated to advance the art of surgery in clinical and academic spheres. Through education, research, and advocacy sub-teams – we run global surgery projects that set as building blocks towards improving access to safe and timely surgical care in Zimbabwe.
